The new Relic skill tree comes from interaction with a new netrunner named Songbird to enhance cyberware. For example, these skills exploit vulnerabilities in enemy cyberware to create “skill shot spots” that cause radius explosions. Alternatively, you can upgrade and charge your mantis arm to allow it to leap 30 meters as a new tactical option in battle.

Relic skills are leveled up by interacting with the Millitech’s data terminals scattered throughout Dog Town. Phantom Liberty includes “dozens of new story quests and gigs” that players will complete and become stronger, and CD Projekt Red is a “Terminator“~-ish build.Cyberpunk 2077 Credit: CD Projekt RED

These changes, along with the perks of the Technology Tree, will allow players to surpass the standard level of cyberware through Edgerunner perks and become strong enough to throw enemies at each other like “bowling pins”.

However, role-playing as a cyber psycho and causing this level of havoc can trigger police intervention. The developers said there are significant improvements to the police system, which was criticized as basic in the original Cyberpunk 2077.

When a player commits a crime and develops a fever, the Night City Police will track the player in a vehicle, and the intensity of the chase will increase depending on the player’s reaction. Police will ram cars, build barricades and deploy the armored unit Max Tuck.

Changes to the police are not delegated to the Phantom Liberty expansion and will be available to all players in the upcoming update 2.0. Cyberpunk 2077. Both the expansion and update will roll out on September 5 for PC, PlayStation 9, and Xbox Series X|S.
